First of all I need to tell you about the mosquitoes here.
THEY ARE MUTANTS. Seriously. They are smart. VERY smart. I was drove nuts trying to sleep last night. I woke up in the middle of the night and turned on my light and tried to track it down, but it went into hiding.
This morning, right before I went to shower I got it though. It felt so good to finally get him too... he got me good last night.. a few times on my foot, ankle, legs and chest. grrr. But seriously now, every time I go to get them they fly away and hide, then come out to taunt me and ten fly away away again... and picking only the best times to actually get me. They are super-power mosquitoes and I need to do something more... I was fine for a while, and then one day my kids in my odyssey 3B class asked me about my bites, and I said they must be sick of my blood and I don't need to be a mosquito blood donor anymore! I spoke way to soon!
Yesterday was a great day. I went to the beach after work. On Thursdays this month I am done work at 4:30, so I get a bit of sun! :) I met up with my friend and co-worker Bryony and just let it all in. You can see mountains past all the buildings in the distance and it was just amazing to see what a different place we were living in. She was offered a position in a university she had been wait listed for, but decided to finish her time here instead. (This makes me very happy!!) So to celebrate life and living in Korea we spinned on the beach! We were both wearing skirts that flare out really far when you spin.. so we just spinned and spinned until we fell in sand. Life is great! :)
Tomorrow we have a field trip with the kids. We are going to this place called "omyland". I have no idea what this place is... I have heard that it may be some sort of playground... well regardless I am excited to spend a fun day in the sun with my Buttercup class! :)
I had lunch with the Buttercups today! :) They called me "Baby Teacher" because I sat in the chairs with them to eat. haha They were so excited to eat with me! We had chicken, kimchi, radish, rice and soup. It was yummy! :)
I had to go into my friends classroom again today and ask for her CD player.. my Bravo CD player is on the missing list... her kids laughed at me again calling me small teacher! haha They laugh whenever they see me.... apparently I am really small!
